Andrew Gh set to release new single ‘Obibini’

Ghanaian musician Andrew Gh is set to release a new single titled “Obibini” on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

The upcoming song, according to the budding artiste, explores aspects of the lifestyle and mindset of the Black man, particularly how negative perceptions and attitudes can affect dreams and progress.

Andrew Gh said his everyday experiences and observations of life inspired the song, which he believes will resonate with listeners.

“I am always inspired by daily life activities, but being a Black man and seeing how the Black mentality kills dreams and progress inspired the composition of the song. I know people will relate to the lyrics in the song,” he said.

He described “Obibini” as a “golden” song that addresses issues surrounding the experiences and lifestyle of Black people, adding that he hopes it will connect with audiences beyond Ghana.

Andrew Gh, who independently manages his music career, expressed optimism that the single will gain traction across Africa and the global music market.

The musician, whose previous compositions have helped him build a growing following, is also open to working with a record label or management team that shares his vision.

Andrew Gh believes the achievements of both past and present Ghanaian musicians have created opportunities for emerging artistes to pursue international recognition.
