Radio presenter and disc jockey, Andrew Akwasi Amoh, popularly known as Andy Dosty has rubbished claims by artiste manager and song promoter, Papa Loggy accusing him of failing to promote his songs after paying him to do so.
Papa Loggy made the allegations on Pluzz FM’s Am Pluzz on Thursday adding that Andy Dosty and some other presenters are killing talents for refusing to play local songs.
Though Papa Loggy will not mention the amount, he insisted that any named presenter who wishes to challenge his claim should be bold and come out.
Reacting to the claims on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, Andy Dosty described the allegation as unfounded. According to him, he has made conscious efforts to promote hundred percent Ghanaian songs on his show and all songs Papa Loggy brought to him were promoted on his Adom, Joy and Hitz FMs shows.
Andy Dosty recounted that he had a conversation with Papa Loggy after the interview asking him to be mindful of his utterances.
The response from Loggy, according to Andy Dosty was, “Boss, I respected you from day one. I didn’t mean any harm. All I’m asking you is to help promote our poor musicians.”
Andy Dosty continued, “I asked him which poor musicians? The people that pay you money to be given to DJs, are those you call poor musicians? Those people he calls poor musicians, doesn’t he charge them? You don’t sit somewhere and begin to say things at the peril of DJs. I play at Adom, Hitz and Joy. All the songs he said he brought to me, I promoted them across board.”
The ace presenter however disclosed that at one point, he discovered that Papa Loggy did not give him the expected amount.
“I met the manager of one of the musicians whose song you brought in Kumasi. The guy asked me how much money you brought to me. When I mentioned it, he was shocked,” Andy Dosty told host, KMJ.
