Garden city based radio station Anigye 102.5 FM brought life into the streets of Kumasi with the first and largest Celebrity Fashion Show at the Yegoala Hotel on Republic Day July 1st 2011.
The star studded event brought together celebrities such as musicians and radio and Television presenters across the Country. Some of Ghana’s finest Celebrities such as Wayoosi, Kwaku Manu, Fanny (Ghana’s Most Beautiful), Vicki Zugah, Joe Frazier, K2, Young Rich, Afutufo and many more on one stage to interact with their fans. Popular radio presenters such as Kwame Adinkra of Angel FM, Frank Taylor of Fox FM, YAD of Angel FM, Sammy Acheampong of Dove FM, Roman Father of Jam FM, Bowtie of Lite Fm and many many more were all there to strut their stuff on the cat walk.
Our own in-house celebrities in attendance were Papa Sly of YFM, the Anigye FM Station Manager himself Odeefuor, Eddie Brown and AK of Anigye FM, Gideon Aryeequaye of etv, and Charles Osei Assibey of Happy FM.
The celebrities competed in the much anticipated catwalk with designs from Patcee fashion House of Kumasi, Nak Fashions, Uche Fashion originated from Nigeria, Ernest Fashion, expert in ladies wear, and Jita Fabrics, of top-of-the class fabric manufacturing company and more. There was casual wear and dinner wear. The celebs put a twist on the fashion and wore outfits from the opposite sex which sent excitement through the crowd, with bursts of laughter.
The crowd was thrilled with performances from hip life artistes Rich Young, Nana Agyemang, Kapusta, A424, and Black Cad. There was a dancing competition with the new dance craze “Azonto Dance”; prizes were giving out through the sponsors of the show.
