The ‘Big Brother Africa’ reality show is arguably the most-viewed reality television show across Africa and one of the moments that generate lots of talk in the respective countries taking part in the TV contest.
The selection of personalities to participate in the competition as always has been a major discussion in respective participating countries.
In Ghana, every edition sparks debate on who fits the bill better to represent him or herself and the country in the best way possible and this year has not been different.
In recent weeks, aspiring actress and model, Moesha Boduong has been touted as one of, it not the only personality to represent Ghana in the upcoming ninth edition of the show.
The report which has drawn so much attention and chatter of her personality, her background and her chances of excelling in the competition.
However, Marketing Manager of Multichoice Ghana, Anne Sackey has rebuffed such talk of Moesha Boduong being selected as Ghana’s representative for the show.
“I have no idea she is the one going for the show. If she is, then I will be surprised that Endemol will choose a representative and not inform us,” she said on Peace FM over the weekend on Entertainment Review.
Anne stated that, not more than four people have been selected from Ghana for the final auditions in South Africa, and no person(s) have been selected and confirmed as the representative for the country.
The last leg of auditions will be held in South Africa under supervision of producers of the show, and thus far, there is no word on who represents what country,” she confirmed.
The first stage of auditions held in Ghana saw the presence of a number of Ghanaian celebrities including the likes of Vickie Zugah, Salma Mumun, Percy the comedian as well as beauty queens from shows like Miss Maliaka, Miss Ghana and Ghana’s Most Beautiful amongst others.
Producers of the show, Endemol, are yet to come out with a special theme for this edition of the show that is expected to commence in the first week of September 2014 and expected to last for a duration of 91 days
