One of Ghana’s veteran musicians, Ded Buddy now known as Qweci aka King of RnB has also added his voice to the recent statement made by Akyeame Quophi former member of the hiplife group Akyeame, Akyeame Quophi.

Okyeame Quophie made news when he recently commented on Sarkodie’s claim of making history with his just ended sold out #HistoryInTheMaking concert.

The former rapper was skeptical about who actually made history at the Apollo theatre by stating they (Akyeame) was the first hiplife group to perform at the Apollo’s thus Sarkodie’s feat was in no way any history.

However, this statement has received mixed reactions with Reggie Rockstone coming out to boldly debunk such comments and simply tag them ‘bad timing’.

Ded Buddy who was also making waves back then was among acts who performed during the Daddy Lumba headlined concert.

In a series of tweets he posted, "Shldn’t matter who has done what at Apollo. We shld all commend the great work done by @Tmentzz and @sarkodie and all acts who supported’’.

He finally added, ‘‘we should stop all these hating on each other and fight a better fight. We should remember a single corrupt seed corrupts the whole fruit’’.

Qweci in a ‘one man’ army has been fighting for 95% local music on radio to which he released an open letter addressed to the President, who in a recent press briefing noted we need to play more local content.
