The name Ara-B is no stranger to the music industry in Ghana, particularly for the genre of music he propounds; dancehall. To lovers of dancehall music and followers of Shatta Wale, Ara-B is perhaps the pivot on which Shatta Wale rode to his current pedestal.

As the former hype man of Shatta Wale, he powered the success of the Shatta brand both on and off the stage.

Their recent fall-out which stemmed from some complicated friction saw the two long time fellows’ part ways perhaps for good.

As the saying goes, some misfortunes are blessings in disguise, thus the ARA-B brand has now taken a life of its own and has over 60 recorded and mastered songs featuring some of the heavyweights in the dancehall game such as Yaa Pono, Ras Kuku, Jupiter, Yasmine Elwani, Popcaan, Tinny and more.

Already, he’s dropped enough singles to comprise three albums, notable being “falafala” featureing VIP, Obishi, Faceoff, “Me nuh watch unu” and the latest banger“wonderdi”which is making serious waves on and off line.

This July will mark a milestone in his life as a dancehall artiste by the release of the “PHAROAH 1” album of 15 strong tracks. The title is as interesting as the concept. Pharaoh is the title of the Egyptian Kings who lived as God’s on earth. They were super human’s with everything at the beck and call and lived in pump and pageantry.

The album’s concept is set against a “pharaonic” certain which encourages people to aspire to live a life of kingship as the Pharaohs. It is possible to live your dream if you work hard. Pharaoh 1 is the dancehall album to change the game. Arb– B’s strength as a hype man is quadrupled if you

enjoyed his hype-man ship. The lunch will be preceded by an album listening section on the 27th July and on 28th, the album launch. The Venue and other information will be announced soon.

Preparations are feverishly underway by Ara– B’s “Osumania Army” (OSM) which doubles as the name of his record label. Meanwhile, the video for the trending single Ghana Link featuring Yaa Pono is dropping in less than a week
