‘Artiste of the Year’ award is between Shatta Wale and Ebony Reigns; the rest are only chasing shadows — Richie

Various pundits, stakeholders and laymen are sharing their opinion about who wins what at the forthcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

The focus is often on the Artiste of the Year because that’s the topmost award. The artistes vying for this year’s award are Sarkodie, Joe Mettle, Shatta Wale, Ebony Reigns and Stonebwoy.

Although all the aforementioned artistes did very well under the year in review, many people think the battle is strictly between Shatta Wale and the late Ebony

This is a sentiment manager and Chief Executive Officer of Lynx Entertainment, Richie shares. According to him, Shatta Wale and Ebony Reigns among the top five artistes to stand the chance of winning the ‘Artiste of the Year’ prize.

The Lynx Entertainment boss in a Question and Answer segment with his fans on Twitter said, “Ebony and Shatta Wale were the strongest last year so either of them is cool for me”.

If Ebony wins this award, she will go down in history as the female to do so. The 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards has been slated for April 14 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
