The Ghanaian Music Industry has over the years been filled with musicians from all walks of life, coming in with their debut albums.
One of these new artistes expected to be bringing a change and making it all new in the industry by the end of the year is 'Asase Ase' (Underground).
These new artistes, made up of different hip-life singers such as Teachers of The Law (TTL), Bandana, Ceasefire and Onyumtufuo, Shaolin Black Monk Funk are among these musicians, with Agyaba, Osansan, Bordamfuo, and Bigga as its front liners.
Speaking to The Chronicle, the producer of the album, Rodney Coudjoe, said the group was made up of hip-life artistes, most of whom are already in the industry and was targeting mainly the youth by way of fighting moral vices to help abolish vulgar lyrics among them.
The album which is a compilation of 21 different lyrics, would be recorded both on cassette and CD and would be launched, hopefully, in September if things go on well with the production which would be under the record label: Creative Leaf with "Asase Ase" as it household name.
The young producer, who has been in the production scene for the past six years is the engineer working on the music beats as well as working hand in hand with other engineers at his music studio in Dansoman, says September would be the right time to come out since by that time they would have finished with the recordings and final production which would be done in London.
"We shall be coming out the same time as students coming back from recess, we are preaching good morals and know we would be meeting our target when we come out," says the young music producer.
For now, Rodney has songs which he says are exclusive and knows would hit the music market and send music funs gay. They are the remix version of 'Odo Ye Wu Adadame' from TTL, 'Ade ye Fe,' 'Agyaba,' and Number among others.
The album, he stated, is a traditional hip-hop which is coming to stay as a new music genre. He urged rap fans to join the train to help promote discipline among the youth.
