Ajumako (C/R) June 23, GNA - The Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District Assembly on Wednesday suspended Mr Nicholas Acquah, Assembly Member for Ajumako-Entumbir electoral area for six months for gross misconduct. The Assembly at its three-day meeting at Ajumako took the decision. Mr Kojo Ampiah-Biney, Presiding Members (PM) said the meeting also ordered Acquah to write a letter of apology to the Assembly.

According to Mr Ampiah-Biney, barely five months ago, Acquah slapped Ms Comfort Arthur, Headteacher of Entumbir Methodist Primary School during a misunderstanding.

The case was reported to the Police and referred to the Ajumako Magistrate's Court but the Assembly later withdrew the case and settled it out of court.
