Historically, budding rapper Strongman was signed by Sarkodie’s SarkCess Music on March 24, 2017. Prior to, Strongman was a member of the MicBurnerz Music, with Azee Ntwene who played a tremendous role in the music life of Strongman before joining SarkCess Music.

The truth is, most music enthusiasts in Ghana especially lovers of real rap were not too enthused about Strongman’s move to SarkCess Music with varied reasons. For some, the signing of Strongman by Sarkodie was a strategic move to dim the shine of the young chap.

But in the rightful thinking of Strongman in his most recent interview on Accra-based Happy FM, it’s erroneous perception for one to think that Sarkodie is blocking his shine. To him, Sarkodie has rather sharpened his rapping prowess.

Strongman who recently released his début album christened “Still That Ni99a” under SarkCess Music stated categorically that cetéris paribus (all other things being equal), his affiliation with Sarkodie if not anything has helped him play a show outside Ghana.

“I have not been limited by Sarkodie as rumours have it. It’s even a big opportunity for me to be working with him. I’ve been able to build more on my rapping skills and more importantly, I’ve had the chance to perform outside Ghana”, Strongman said.

So, there you’ve it! If you’ve ever thought of Sarkodie killing the shine of Strongman, this is the right time to erase that perception. Thus, from the horse’s – Strongman – mouth, he’s making more progress under SarkCess Music.
