Atinka TV shakes Kwahu with Di Asa Season 2 audition

Kwahu- Mpraeso was virtually brought to a standstill on Holy Saturday as thousands of revelers turned up for the first audition of Season Two of Ghana’s first dance reality show, Di Asa.

The Di Asa concept, which aims at promoting healthy lifestyles amongst plus -size women via dance competition, health talks among others, is pioneered by Atinka Media Village, operators of Atinka TV, Atinka FM, Atinkaonline, Agyenkwa FM in Kumasi and Ahotor FM in Takoradi.

The event, which was held at the famous Mpraeso Lorry Park was undoubtedly the highlight of all activities and programmes lined up in Kwahu, which has now become the destination for holiday makers during Easter festivities.

After a successful Season One, many Ghanaians were looking forward to a more exciting Season Two and the massive turnout for the first audition proved to be a litmus test.

Twenty three (23) beautiful, pus-size women showcased their dancing skills during the first audition, but only two were selected for the national event which takes place later this year. The ‘lucky’ two were Ohemaa and Theresa.

Highlife sensation, Akwaboah, spiced up the occasion with some of his lovely, romantic songs. The high point of his performance was when he performed some of his father’s (Kwadwo Akwaboah) classic highlife songs including ‘Awerekyekyre.”. It was certainly a moment of nostalgia for some of the older folks present at the event.

Kofi B also took his turn to entertain the crowd with some of his hit songs.

The next destination for the Di Asa Season Two audition is Wa in the Upper West Region on April 6, 2018.
