Augustina Addison and Kwaku Atwere
The Ashanti Regional Secretary of Musician Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) and aspiring Chairman, Nana Kwaku Atwere has thrown verbal punches at gospel singer Augustina Addison.
According to him, the ace gospel singer who is aspiring to be the chairperson of the union in the region is not a true Christian.
Reports reaching SeanCitygh.com indicates that, the MUSIGA elections which was scheduled for July 28, 2016 ended inconclusively following disruptions of the electoral process from the supporters of Mrs. Addison and Kwaku Atwere.
Our inside information revealed that, it took the intervention of some power blocks in the industry to cool tempers down at the centre for national culture where the election was held.
Speaking in an interview with SeanCitygh.com, Kwaku Atwere accused the supporters of Mrs. Augustina Addison for attempting to scheme the electoral process in favour of their favorite candidate.
He said, the leader of her campaign team Joseph Mensah who is also an actor cum gospel musician connived with some unscrupulous persons to maneuver the system in favor of Augustina Addison.
"Joseph Mensah and his cohorts planned to rig the election by allowing person who are not eligible voters to cast their votes for their candidate but thank God they couldn’t succeed ‘’ he alleged
Kwaku Atwere described Mrs. Addison as a mere gospel singer but not real Christian. ‘’Because nobody can really boast of being a true Christian, it takes God’s grace to get there but I can pin point that this woman is fake’’
