International Record label,Baby Cash Records,on Saturday,December 9 officially unveiled two newly signed artistes namely D Sky, a dancehall artiste and Clinton Adumatah who is also a Hi-life Musician a press launch in Accra.
The CEO of Baby Cash Records,Cynthia Mireku, aka Baby Cash,a Belgium based musicpreneur, before the launch had shown immense interest in Signing Self-acclaimed dancehall King Shatta Wale.
Answering a question from a Razzonline.com's reporter in line with why she snubbed the idea of signing Shatta Wale,Baby Cash accentuated strenuously that, the ‘Freedom ‘hitmaker’s brand has turned into a dirty rag which contradicts her idea of signing him:
“ For me, yes I, once said I wanted to buy Shatta Wale’s empire but no one will want to associate his/herself with a dirty rag..one would expect Shatta Wale to be working toward solidifying his brand in order for him to be more appealing to the international market, but he rather enjoys thriving on negative publicity which is limiting his brand to Ghana…he is now a dirty rag who can not break through the international market ...but now I have artistes who are better than Shatta Wale”,Baby Cash answered.
It is no news that Shatta Wale has been embroiled in all sorts of controversies— he was recently caught on camera slapping one of his bodyguards Biggie Sparta while performing on stage at the S-Concert organized by EIB network.
Baby Cash Records signed Clintex and D Sky on a 3years contract which include provision of cars, accommodation, Europe tour and most especially, personal and career development.
