Bak Tye aka Baka Tee rose to superstardom on the strength of his stunning voice, well thought of lyrics and the type of music he does – hiphop and dancehall blended with highlife.

He has now earned frequent comparison to rivals in the hiplife game because of his new album titled ‘Fameko’. Bak Tye granted us an interview to give us an in-depth of what his whole album is about.

His big break came after he released a song called 'Ye Ntem’ featuring Batman and topped it up with Mzbel featuring him on 'Awoso Me'.

Bak Tye says promotion on radio is going on well but in Accra is while the outskirts of Accra is crazy. He is even promising his fans that a video clip of Fameko will be out soon.

After signing onto Sir George Music Production, Bak Tye decided to launch his album in Tamale. I guess a lot of you readers will asking why. “It was because I did a little bit of schooling there and I also wanted the people there to have a feel of me”, Bak Tye cleared himself.

Even though there were some few rain drops during the launching, it was successful because Kofi Nti, Tatale, Kwaw Kese, Blackface and some of the popular artistes in Tamale were all present to support him.

Some songs on his album are 'Fameko' (featuring Kofi Nti), 'Wadaada Me' (featuring Kwaw Kese) but his favourite song on the album is ‘Semope’ – his fans like what he does.

The heavily promoted album has managed to get its way into some of the local charts with songs like 'Fameko' and 'Wadaadaa Me'. Kofi Nti provides the loveliest chorus on 'Fameko' with his melodious voice whiles artistes like Castro, Kwaw Kese, Pope Skinnie were all able to deliver their verses well.

For now he is working on some underground projects which he will let his fans know very soon.

“Hiplife is moving forward but I wish artistes think of the public and not the money before they do their songs”.

Bak Tye says if he had the chance to work with some hiplife artistes it would be Reggie Rockstone and Obour.

He likes what his fans are doing and urges them to continue supporting him.

Credits to the Almighty God, his producer, Sir George and his fans that have been instrumental in his music life.
