Basketmouth loses mum barely a month after house robbery

It is not a good time for ace comedian Basketmouth right now, as he has lost his mother barely a month after he was robbed at gunpoint in his Lekki home.

Basketmouth, real name Bright Okpocha, shared the heartbreaking news on his Instagram page that his mum passed on Monday night.

"Last night my angel left me, my first love stopped breathing and it’s the deepest pain I’ve ever felt. I love you for every sacrifice you made to make me the man I am today, I’ve loved you through the tough times. I’ve loved you through happier days and all I can say at this point is that I will love you forever. I will miss you mummy,’ he wrote.

Efforts to reach the comedian have so far proved abortive, as his phone lines have been switched off.
