The event which was organised purposely for the promotion of Bruna?s debut album by Boomerang Nite Club, Star Beer, Novotel, Buzz, Jannan Car Rentals and supported by other media partners such as Metro TV, Joy FM, Atlantis Radio and Vibe FM. The event actually commenced around 1:00 am on Saturday 29th, May.
Before the main artiste by Bruna came on stage, a supporting raglife artiste who always makes the crowd put on their dancing shoes performed. He goes by the name Batman whom I will describe as creative, lyrically gifted and prodigious.
He was introduced on stage by another Big Brother Africa housemate and a former radio presenter of Joy FM, Sammi B whose ?intro? was splendid as he chanted some Patua freestyles on stage before calling Batman. Batman nearly stole the show because his performances were stunning and terrific.
All the girls in the house were screaming and swooning when they heard him sing a couple of his songs. As for the guys, they were moving and grooving to his songs. Infact, everyone wanted to catch a glimpse of him as a lot of people were taking pictures of him with their camera phones.
When I interviewed a few girls, they said they couldn?t just withstand it when they heard him sing because he is a whirlwind in the music industry. They continued by saying that his sweet melodious voice really drives them crazy.
I also got the chance of talking to one of Ghana?s most finest MCs, Bola Ray of Joy FM. Bola described as ?Batman is his own words as stylish, talented, energetic and dynamic.?
Batman shook the house with his hit track ?Linda? which comes second on Joy FM?s Local Chart Show. The hit track which is receiving massive airplay nearly tore the house down. Some of the girls from the crowd who couldn?t help it joined him and his dancers on stage whilst he was performing.
He then sang some of other exciting songs on his album which also moved the crowd in ecstasy.
At about 2:30 am, the beautiful and sexy Angolan Bruna was introduced by Cherise (Big Brother Africa Queen) who took the stage to herself and did her own thing. Her impressive songs moved everyone to sing along with her.
When she started performing her hit track whose video clip has been showing every now and then on the television station especially Metro TV, the crowd just couldn?t resist but scream and shout ?go Bruna, go Bruna?.
I was really surprised when I heard people sing her song since she recently came out with it. When she finished performing, people were still yearning for more which she also gave them. Briefly she made ?the night interesting one to remember and a memorable one as well with the help of Batman, Sammi B and Cherise.?
After her performance, it was now time for DJ Black of Joy FM (one of the organisers) and DJ Kwame of Vibe FM to give the crowd lovely and interesting tunes to enable them exhibit their dancing skills.
In a nutshell, it was indeed an unforgettable night. Kudos to all those who organised such a wonderful show.
