Batman Emmanuel Samini, known in musical circles as Batman has called on his colleagues in the hiplife department of the musical industry to endeavour to change from using miming as a way of performance and use live band to perform.

According to him, performing with live band brings out the professional intuition of an artiste and gives him the opportunity to add to what he had already put out in the public domain, or express himself artistically.

Batman made the call on Music Music last Saturday, when he featured on the programme after his return from a musical tour of the United Kingdom.

Kwabena Adisi, aka Bola Ray, co-host of the programme wanted to know how the tour went and his personal impression about it.

Answering his host, Batman explained that the show was well organised and successful. He further explained that the use of live performance by other artistes who patronized the show made it deliver.

He therefore believed that for the hiplife industry to grow and attain professional status, it would be better if all hiplife artistes, including himself, endeavoured to train themselves on how to perform live, adding it would enhance their performances.

Indeed, the young artiste has hit the nail right on the head as this has been the concern of musical pundits in the industry.

It would be re-called that a top highlife musician (name withheld) made a statement that hiplife artistes make the most noise but they are no professionals.

The Chronicle On Saturday has learnt from top musicians in the country that before one could be acclaimed as a professional musician, he or she must be able to perform with live band rather than miming.

Almost 95 percent of our hiplife artistes cannot perform with live band and connoisseurs are of the opinion that the call by the youngster is a welcome idea, which must be received in good ears
