Ghanaian social media personality and actress Efia Odo has responded strongly to recent posts by musician Kwesi Arthur regarding a podcast episode featuring her.

On August 9, Kwesi Arthur tweeted his displeasure, accusing Efia Odo of "ruining his reputation" by frequently mentioning his name for attention. He hinted at taking legal action to address the issue.

In a series of tweets in response, Efia Odo expressed frustration over the misinterpretation of her comments on the podcast.

She stated that her remarks were taken out of context and criticised Kwesi Arthur for reacting without watching the full episode.

She posted, “You no watch the thing but ranting cuz of bits and pieces you saw on social media. You gotta be smarter than that. God has saved me cuz if not!!!!!! Peace be unto you.”

“Dumb*ss ain’t even watch the show now you’re looking goofy exposing yourself. Feeling guilty much?” she added.

Efia Odo further clarified that her comments were not directed at Kwesi Arthur, but rather at her ex, Revlo.

She called out media outlets and journalists for their inaccurate reporting, urging them to verify facts before publishing.

"Ameyaw do f*ckn better! Don’t piss me off. Did I mention Kwesi Arthur’s name when I said I got the tattoo? I literally mentioned my ex and it wasn’t Kwesi.

"Pulse Ghana don’t piss me off!! Have you actually watched the podcast to see who exactly I was talking about? Why are some of you journalists in this country so lazy!! WATCH THE PODCAST BEFORE YOU COME WITH YOUR NEWS," she stated.

What did she actually say?

During the ‘Rants, Bants and Confessions’ podcast on August 7, Efia Odo mentioned that while she once supported Kwesi Arthur, he had done hurtful things to her. She chose not to disclose details out of respect for him but noted that their fallout coincided with a downturn in his career.

“Yes, I was once supporting him but you know Kwesi did some hurtful things to me. I don’t want to say it here because I respect him as a person. If I was to say the things he did to me, it would really dirty his image. When everything ended, I stopped the support because why will I keep supporting someone who has f*cked me over?” she said.

Efia Odo also remarked that after their friendship ended and Kwesi Arthur left his label, Ground Up, his career began to decline, and she was unfairly labelled as bad luck.
