Last Week the news stands were flooded with stories of the Ghana Music Awards and later Shasha Marley's win at the Kora.
What was not reported in the news and ob websites across the country was the fact that 2010 was about Ghana's most successful year at the Kora's since it's inception in 1994.
Not only did we pick up an award, Ghana picked two awards. Shasha for Reggea and Becca for Best African Prospect. For some strange reason, Shasha's wins has been all over the news and there has been absolutely no mention of Becca's wins.
Becca has still been in the news for her Ghana Music Awards wins which has raised eye browse in some quarters. Shasha Marley and Becca join a small elite group of artistes to have preciously achieved the feet. These are Afro Pop King Kojo Antwi and Hip life originator Reggie Rockstone.
Becca's win makes her the youngest to have achieve that feet from Ghana, She also doubles as the only Ghanaian woman to have won a Kora Award.
