Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Rebecca Acheampomaa Acheampong, known in showbiz circles as Becca, has eulogized Sarkodie for his magnificent delivery on her new song titled ‘Nana’.

She touted Sarkodie’s great input in an interview with Melvina Frimpong Manso on Suncity Radio’s Showbiz 971 in Sunyani—which was monitored by the News Hunter Magazine.

“When I finished writing the song, the only person that came in my mind was Sarkodie. I had two songs to do with Sarkodie...and the one that I wanted to do first was what he chose (Nana). He sent me the audio of his part...and People around me were very excited with his contribution,” Becca stated.

Commenting on how the song has been received by the people, she also substantiated that the release date of the song—and Sarkodie’s wedding date was a coincidence.

“The impact of Nana has been amazing. The song which is over a week now is trending well. Nana came at the right time...because of he [Sarkodie] getting married. It looked like we planned it...but Sarkodie didn’t tell anybody about his wedding...so I didn’t know about that...we had already discussed the release date before I got to know about his wedding,” Becca disclosed.

On how the concept of the ‘Nana’ video came about, she divulged: “We planned it very well...it talks more about love...when you think about Nana, you think about royalty. It involved different cultures. I wanted to portray the African culture. The director and all the team members had a very good idea. Bringing cultures together, entail unity.”
