Becca’s mom never accused me of instigating fight with her daughter – Stacy Amoateng

Wife of Quophi Okyeame, Stacy Amoateng, has revealed why she publicly ignored all the allegations that were leveled against her in the Becca-mother brouhaha, saying Becca’s mother never publicly accused her of being the cause of the misunderstanding.

Stacy said this when she took her turn on the Delay Show over the weekend, monitored by GhanaWeb.

The host of ‘Restoration’ show, said she didn’t say anything about the scandal then because it wasn’t important, and also Becca’s mother never publicly accused her of causing the rift between her and her daughter, and so responding at that time would have been disrespectful to Becca’s mom.

“It wasn’t important to respond because the accusation didn’t come from Becca’s mother herself, everybody has an opinion. If it was the case that Auntie Julie herself came out and accused me, that I did so so and so, I would have taken the phone and spoken to her about it, but if someone other than her makes such allegations, I cannot assume that the mother said it and respond, at least the training I was given prevents me from doing something like that.”

Stacy Amoateng, however, refused to answer the question on why she kept liking comments on social media that slammed Becca’s mother.

Becca-mother saga

It would be recalled that Becca’s mom, Julie Yiadom-Oti, alleged in an interview with Chris-Vincent Agyapong of GhanaCelebraties.com that Becca’s husband Tobi Sanni had called her a witch and this had brought a rift between her and her daughter.

During the brouhaha, another person by name Nana Yaa Achiaa, who claimed to be the cousin of musician Becca also stated that Stacey Amoateng and her husband Quophi Okyeame were behind the brawl between the musician and her mother.

According to the video which was cited by GhanaWeb on her Facebook timeline, Nana Yaa stated that the whole issue started with Stacey telling Becca’s mum about supposed things that the musician had told her and vice versa.

She alleged that Stacey had been taking money from Becca’s dad, Mr Acheampong and distributing it to Afia Schwarzenegger to destroy Becca’s mum on social media.

“What brought about the misunderstanding between you (Stacey) and your mum who is based in Hamburg,” she asked.

In all these allegations, Stacy Amoateng didn’t respond, rather she posted cryptic messages on social media, insinuating that responding to the allegations would be tantamount to responding to a fool.

Stacy Amoateng wrote, “Proverbs 26:4 answer not a fool according to his folly lest thou also be like unto him. Proverbs 26:7 the legs of the lame are not equal, so is a parable in the mouth of a fool”.
