Becca sets Nigeria ablaze

The sensational and award-winning afro-pop singer, Rebecca Acheampong, aka Becca, last weekend became the toast of thousands of Nigerian music fans when she put up a splendid show at the Awka Township Stadium in Nigeria.

Becca mounted the stage to perform alongside seasoned Nigerian super stars at the Glo Rock and Rule Road Show.

Becca, it is observed, happens to be the only Ghanaian artiste to join other internationally recognized music stars for such massive road shows.

Beatwaves learnt that she and her dancers won the hearts of the Nigerian fans with their exquisite stagecraft to the extent that fans kept asking for more even when the time was up for her to leave the stage.

She virtually set the venue agog with fun and excitement and treated fans to an unforgettable performance as she took her audience on a musical journey that bordered on love.

The Glo Rock and Rule Road Show has already taken Becca and her colleagues to Benin City. She is also expected to put up a show in a different state every weekend until March 14, 2009. And today she will perform live at Enugu state in Nigeria.

In a chat with Beatwaves, Becca expressed appreciation for the manner in which her Nigerian fans received her, saying she was lucky to have had the opportunity to showcase her talent there.

She was also grateful to the management of Glo for recognising her talent and offering her the opportunity to be on the road shows across Nigeria.
