At a point during the late actress Beverly Afaglo’s battle with cancer, she stopped taking her medication because she had grown tired of the constant medical procedures she endured, according to her brother, Caleb Afaglo.

Speaking at her one-week remembrance vigil on May 30, 2026, Caleb disclosed that Beverly had strong faith that God was going to heal her and grant her peace.

He further noted that while people may associate peace with healing, God’s peace may sometimes mean providing a place of comfort.

According to him, Beverly’s dwelling place of comfort is now in God’s bosom.

“‘Ama’ refused medication because she believed that God was going to heal her. She was tired of the poking on the hands, the arms, and the legs. She was tired, and she believed strongly that God was going to give her peace.

“Sometimes our peace may mean healing, but God’s peace may mean giving you a dwelling place of comfort. Ama’s dwelling place of comfort today is in God’s bosom. She passed away quietly four days shy of her 43rd birthday,” he said.
