The second edition of the Bavaria Big in Ghana talent hunt kicked off last Friday October 25 in Accra after a media launch held at the Maxlot Hotel to announce changes in the reality show this year.

Bavaria Big in Ghana gives upcoming artistes the exciting opportunity to perform live on stage for thousands of music fans and win life-changing prizes.

Bryte, the winner of last year’s edition performed live alongside FOKN Bois, Efya and Yaa Pono in Kumasi, Ta’di, Tema and Accra.

He walked away with a professional album recording, a video clip and cash. His brand new video clip for ‘Nadia Number’ is number one on the GH1 charts this week.

This year, the organizers have doubled the stakes with amazing prizes for music fans as well. Music fans in Greater Accra who vote for their favourite artiste receive a free MP3 of the artiste they voted for. They also get points each time they vote, buy Bavaria or invite friends to join the fun.

The more points, the bigger the chance of winning smart phones, tablets and flat screen TVs. The prizes are given away each Saturday on Live 99.1 FM between 11:00 am and noon. It started from October 25 and will continue until November 29 2013.

The Bavaria Big in Ghana fun starts last Friday October 25 at Havana & Club House in Accra Central and Saturday October 26 at Jovix in Dansoman.

The live events, hosted by Pope Skinny and Kwame Bee, gave the stage to 32 handpicked talents for each of them to battle for votes from the audience to make it to the next round.

Each week half of the artistes will be eliminated based on the amount of votes they gathered in the week after their show.

The final eight artistes of the competition will perform with Afro Harmony, Ghana’s best live band at Circle, Freedom & Justice Park (Obra Spot) on November 22.

Those who will make it to the final four will perform again alongside, last year’s winner Bryte, FOKN Bois, Yaa Pono and Efya at the same location (Freedom & Justice Park) on November 29.
