Education manager and reggae musician Anthony Appiah-King, alias Black Amber, has lashed out at US President Donald Trump for his “shithole” comment saying it was ”a total disrespect for African countries.”

“I am of the view that the people who live in a shithole have made enormous contributions to the development of the United States of America.

“His comments hurt me so much,” said Black Amber who registered his protest, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, calling the US President to order, and urging him to unreservedly apologise to all people of Africa on the reported impolite remark.

Trump is reported to have made the remark in reference to Haiti, El Salvador, and African countries as “shithole” nations during a White House meeting on immigration reform last Thursday.

But Black Amber, while condemning the remarks, took African nations and their leadership to task for contributing the disrespect exhibited by Trump to the people of Africa.

“I’m saying that because what we have here- Americans don’t come near anywhere near our resources; but we have a problem with leadership, we need leaders who can put their feet down and see to it that the African continent is developed”.

Black Amber condemned African politicians who make wealth at the expense of the development of their people, and stash the monies in foreign banks, to Europe and other foreign banks who tend to lend the monies to African countries with high interests.

“Are they not making double profits on us? he queried, adding “they are making double profits and recycling our own monies. We should properly use our resources and develop our continent to our own benefit.

“We should also develop our own youth, and then nobody, no President from any country can call us ‘shithole’s."
