‘Blessed’, a hip hop song written by one of Ghana’s up and coming artiste by the name Desmond Gaisie-Amoah, has started receiving positive response from fans of quality melody, and inspirational lyrics.
The single which featured Sol' Africa was released on the 8th of June.
According to audience who have not been able to recover from the rappers’ lyrical prowess, accompanied with waist twerking sound has this to say: “It was no doubt a worthy effort. After seeing him perform at various events for years, i can say the single is worth the wait”
Another fan applauds his courage for not promoting profane lyrics as many artistes are doing in order to become popular.
Desmond, with stage name GaisieBoy is already a household name in Adenta, Accra.
After a decade of refining his lyrical skills,he stayed glued to rapping in English language, against the advice of many. This, he said, is as a result of the audience he's targeting "I cannot afford to limit myself Ghana."
With his level of determination to succeed, it’s obvious Gaisie is set to take Ghana music industry by storm, and give other up and coming artistes a run for their money.
GaisieBoy in a chat with Chris of amazingcrizz.net discuss the inspiration behind his song: “Being a positive influence is my priority, but I want to do this, and at the same time, make my fans happy,” he said
Commenting on the decency of the lyrics, he said it was his intention to make listeners know that God can turn their story around: “I also encourage hard work and persistence because it is working for me.”
Adding that it is high time youths who are struggling to be an added value to the society must be encouraged.
