Blind presenter Otwinoko feeds over 100 widows and widowers

If you ever need a helping hand, you’ll find one at the end of your arm.As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands: one for helping yourself, the other for helping others.

In this light,even though astute broadcaster Otwinoko of Hot 93.9fm is blind ,being physically challenged has never deterred him from being generous.

As part of his social responsibilities as a radio presenter,Otwinoko on Friday 26th January,2017 came to the aid of over 100 widows and widowers by organising a party for them,presented them with cloths and other items including an undisclosed amount of money .

The event which took place at the premises of Hot Fm in Accra was climaxed with a scintillating performance from gospel musician ,Officer Kwasi Ofori who is noted with the hit song ‘Hwi Hwe No”

Speaking to Hot Fm’s news team and razzonline.com,Otwinoko indicated sorrowfully that,” when God blesses you,the most prudent thing to do is to help others.For me i know how its feels when someone tells you he/she has lost the wife or husband–so i have taken upon myself to share the little i have with these widows and widowers because they really need our help”,

Otwinoko also appealed to Churches and other organizations to come to the aid of widows and widowers.

Odifour Asare aka Otwinoko started his radio career at Otec Fm in Kumasi in the early 90s.

Presently at Hot Fm,Otwinoko aside hosting a popular and one of the most listened to shows on radio in Ghana called ‘Nya asem Hwe’ which is aired from Monday to Friday between 7pm-9pm, is also the host of Raggae School on Saturdays between 1pm to 3pm.
