On Saturday, January 25, 2014, Alliance Française Accra will present the first show of Blitz The Ambassador’s Afropolitan Dream Tour.

Born and Raised in Accra, the Brooklyn-based rapper chose his hometown to launch his 2014 tour. Inspired by Public Enemy and Fela Kuti, Blitz The Ambassador’s music is one of a kind. The artiste and his 8-piece band create a unique blend of Hip-Hop and Afrobeat.

Blitz is about to release his 3rd album entitled Afropolitan Dream but he has already seduced many with his two previous albums ‘Stereotype’ (2009) and ‘Native Sun’ (2011). He has also taken his shows around the world, performing at music festivals such as Solidays in France, Roskilde in Denmark, WOMAD in England and Lincoln Center Outdoors in the U.S. After touring for 2 years non-stop he makes his way back to Ghana.

Lot of people still remember the 2011 show at Alliance Française Accra. It was a huge success with more than 1000 attendees. This year again, we are expecting an amazing show with special guests such as Yaa Pono.

Don’t miss out Blitz The Ambassador’s Afropolitan Dream Saturday 25th January 2014 at 8 pm at Alliance Française Accra. Tickets are 15 GHC and 20 GHC in advance and at the gate respectively. For your advance tickets go to Alliance Française reception or contact Yoyotinz.

Before the show make sure to attend “Meet the artist” at Alliance Française on Thursday 23rd from 12pm to 2pm. This event organized by Yoyotinz will feature a DJ set by DJ Keyzzz and an interactive interview with Blitz The Ambassador.

During this event the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions to the artist and take pictures with him. This is also an opportunity for Alliance Française students to learn a bit more about an internationally known Ghanaian artist.

This event is produced by Alliance Française Accra and sponsored by Accra [DOT] Alt and Yoyotinz.
