Ghanaian publicist and blogger, Jonathan Nii Laryea better known as Jonilar, has been nominated for 2017 edition of Africa Youth Awards in the category of ‘Blogger of the Year.’

He was nominated alongside Ghanaian Blogger and PR consultant, Elorm Beenie, Adekeye E. Tosin (Nigeria), Gilbert Rwabigwi (Rwanda), Nancy Sumari (Tanzania) and Salawu Ibrahim (Nigeria).

In 2011, Jonilar started professional public relations work with Tema-based record label, Harbour City Recordz, the force behind award-wining music group, Gallaxy. He is also the founder of Aurelia Republic, an entertainment service provider in the area of public relations, branding, production and consultancy.

Between 2013 and 2016, Jonilar worked with Vision 90.1 FM and Pluzz 98.9FM respectively as a radio producer of talk shows that focuses on arts and entertainment.

He is currently serving a number of boards in various capacities helping promoting show business in Ghana, and also works with a good number of brands and artistes in Ghana and other parts of Africa.

For the past 4 years, Africa Youth Awards have worked at being Africa’s premier non-event award which has recognised hundreds of young people across Africa and placed them in the spotlight of continental achievements.

Launched in 2014 as an organisation registered in Ghana and the UK, Africa Youth Awards was inspired by the lack of recognition for young Africans who have selflessly dedicated their lives to making sure the future of Africa is optimistic.
