Gospel musician Patience Nyarko's remark that colleague Joe Mettle will be in hot waters should the Church of Pentecost and the Methodist Church issue a directive that no musician should perform their songs again, has stoked controversy in the gospel music space.
Although she insists she made the comment because a radio presenter and an event promoter pooh-poohed the prowess of other Ghanaian gospel musicians during a discussion on radio by stating that Joe Mettle is the only gospel artiste that can represent the country abroad, some have chided her as they argue that her statement was borne out of hatred.
Patience Nyarko has also been chastised for walking out of an interview over a Joe Mettle question.
Well, it is not as though nobody is on her side. A section of the public sees nothing wrong with her remarks nor her conduct.
On this episode of Bloggers' Forum, host Abrantepa sits with his able panelists - Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo of entertainmentgh.com and Kobby Kyei of kobbykyeinews.com - for a discussion on the development.
Spotlight is also put on virtual concerts which have been organised after a ban was placed on public gatherings.
