Declared pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO), coronavirus has killed more than 5,000 people, sickened over 115,000 and spread to 75 countries and regions worldwide.
With a confirmation that Ghana has recorded cases, there are fears the disease will spread. In fact, some public institutions in the country including University of Ghana (UG), University of Cape Coast (UCC) and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) have suspended public gatherings as part of measure to help curb the disease from spreading.
As seen in some jurisdictions, a ban has been placed on gatherings of more than 500 people. In New York for instance, Stonebwoy had to postpone his show because of the said ban.
