After lawyers of Pastor Brian Amoateng issued a statement to demand a retraction and apology from ghanacelebrities.com and yen.com.gh for publishing defamatory articles about their client, both blogs have rendered an unqualified apology and retracted accordingly.

Controversial media personality Afia Schwarzenegger Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa had alleged that the marriage between Dr. Kwaku Oteng and Sally Akua Amoakowaa Mensah widely known as Akua Ghana Most Beautiful had collapsed after the husband discovered the wife had been cheating on him.

The comedienne mentioned that the wife had been having an affair with 'Pastor Amoateng' - making the blogs conclude the said pastor was Brian Amoateng.

“In the said videos, no mention was made of our clients and consequently it is most regrettable for your portal to link the said publication to our clients and further use their pictures without their notice or consent,” a portion of a notice sent to the publishers read.

“It is our respectful position that your publication was made with the sole of aim of bringing into disrepute, the hard-earned credentials of our clients, to ridicule them in the eyes of right-thinking members of the Ghanaian society and beyond and mischievously reduce their integrity and put their reputation which they have built within their pastoral life into dishonor, contempt, and reproach for their church and family,” it added while calling for a retraction and apology.

The two blogs have subsequently apologized unreservedly.

While ghanacelebrities.com says it erroneously made conclusions, yen.com.gh is asking Pastor Amoateng to take “into consideration Matthew 6:14-15, which says: ‘for if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive your sins’.”
