Well known for her hit songs 'Rock My Body' and 'Go Go Black Stars', Wiyaala is out again with a new message for 'Africa' Peace.

The strong and creative vocalist, who is well known for her energetic performances, released her new track titled ‘Africa’ for first time airplay on The Zone on Starr 103.5 FM on Tuesday morning, hours before the official release.

Explaining to host, Naa Ashokor Doku-Mensah, the inspiration behind the tune, Wiyaala said Africa is losing a lot of its resources – human and natural – to war and saboteurs.

“I felt I needed to tell the youth not to allow powerful people who want to use our energy to destroy the continent have their way. The fact that we refuse to live in harmony is making us lose out on a lot”, she stated passionately.

Wiyaala said she was more concerned about the “deep hatred” Africans express toward each other subliminally.

“It’s not just war or terrorism I’m addressing. There are so much hatred and jealousy on a personal level. We find ourselves fighting each other and worse of all we find creative ways of creating enmity between ourselves” she added.

Wiyaala said she was hopeful her song impacts people positively and drive Africans to realise the power in unity.
