Chief Executive Officer of the Excellence in Broadcasting (EIB) Network, Nathaniel Kwabena Adisi aka Bola Ray has slammed award winning dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale for publicly firing a gun.

He described the action of the controversial musician as terribly bad, uncalled for, uncultured and roundly condemned it.

Few days ago, a video of Shatta Wale was posted online in which the artiste is seen shooting a gun while mentioning the names of top Nigerians artistes Wizkid, Patoranking and Timaya.

Entertainment Critics say his unfortunate action could spark unnecessary tension between Ghanaian and Nigerian artistes and in the process mar the unity that has existed among musicians from the two West Africa countries.

Speaking on his show Starr Chat on Starr FM while he hosted Nigerian Multiple award-winning Nigerian Afropop singer and songwriter, Yemi Alade Wednesday, Bola Ray revealed that he personally called up Shatta Wale and rebuked him for his action.

“I called him up on Saturday and I had some strong words for him. Together with Kwami Sefa Kayi for 30 minutes we were on the phone with him and I think that is so bad, uncalled for, uncultured and I condemn it. Yes say’s he’s going to apologize and I’m waiting for him to do that. I don’t mince words and I’m saying it for the first time on radio that, I did that. I didn’t mince words at all and I think that from how he came about, he was remorseful about it and says he was just…but I won’t go into details.”

Bola Ray and Kwami Sefa Kayi are two great media personalities that Shatta Wale has immense respect for, and this is not the first time the duo have condemned him and publicly advised him.

The first, was when they slammed him live on Peace FM when Shatta Wale had issues with Mark Okraku Mantey and colleague musician Yaa Pono.

Meanwhile, Hiplife artiste, Tac Tac has called on the Ghana Police Service to arrest Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale for publicly firing a gun.

The former told Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, the law should be applied regards Wale’s action which he calls a criminal offense.

“This is not a joke. Do we want to lose lives before we take it seriously? This is a country where laws work and we must put them to use in this case. Let’s use the law.”
