Ghanaian-German actor Boris Kodjoe has incurred the wrath of Ghanaians because of a post on his Facebook wall.
He wrote:
"Meeting with Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama. Great man who sees tremendous value in the empowerment of girls and pushes hard to end child marriages in Ghana. “When you educate a woman you are effectively helping the community… #EmpowerGhanasGirls".
A section of Ghanaians who disagreed with his post took shots at him for what they claim is a false misrepresentation of the facts on the ground.
His page, minutes after he posted the status turned into a political platform. It soon became a-free-for-all-fight between supporters of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
A number of unsavory and unprintable comments were posted by the political opponents.
