This is not a story for the faint-hearted because it has to do with the love life of the almighty and ‘no-nonsense’ Amanda Jissih, ace showbiz icon and host of E-Talk on 'Gh-One' and how she was apparently used, exploited, dumped and given a broken heart by the love of her life, Bright Sparkles, one of the members of Ghana’s popular music duo, Buk Bak.
News-One’s sources close to the two said all was not well with their hitherto rosy love relationship, a relationship they had toiled to keep on the blind side of the public.
“Oh, Bright only used her. She was spending her life savings on him, managing his career and just pushing his group to make sure they are accepted again. But she now has a broken heart. Bright left this country without even telling her. Some of these things are all over her phone and it is no secret among her friends”, a close pal of Amanda told News-One.
News-One sources and checks showed that the handsome musician seemed to be dating three other ladies domiciled in the United States where he was currently seeking greener pastures.
The identity and details of the three ladies are still being cross-checked but initial reports said one of them was called Ginger and another, Jackie. None of the ladies are aware they are being played.
As usual, Bright would not respond to such issues, especially when he knew it was for a media publication. Even when he was in Ghana, Bright simply described the reports as “rumours” when News-One reached him.
“Rumours are rumours, and people should keep talking,” he told News-One when it questioned him about Amanda during the launch of Ghana Meets Naija concept. At other times, he simply evaded the issue and walked away.
Amanda would also not talk to News-One and would not even reply text messages sent to her phone over the matter.
A check ran on Ginger, on social network Facebook, indeed indicated that she had strong links with Bright.
The source said he played the three ladies for a long time and was not about to be busted.
Reports said Bright started dating Amanda a very longtime ago even before he relocated to the United States of America.
Both Bright and Amanda used to live together in an apartment at East Legon in Accra and he promised her a lot of things including marriage. Then when he relocated to the States, rumours about the three other lovers popped up.
Recently when Bright returned to Ghana, he was spotted several times with Amanda who also was the promoter behind his group’s ‘Kolom’ hit song.
Sources said the two were planning to tie the knot sometime in the future but Bright secretly packed out of town and left for his US base without saying bye-bye to Amanda. She didn’t know Bright left town until a friend told her.
