Brong Ahafo's Best Art and Entertainment presenter, Kweku Danso Boadi aka Danny Glover , spoke to Spacenews after receiving his award at the maiden mdia wards in the regionis.
As the marketing manager and the Art and Entertainment presenter of Space FM, which was also adjudged the best radio station for 2006, Danny Glover radio has a lot to do for listerners and clients of the station.
Kweku is making it big in the radio industry with his marketing strategies in the Brong Ahafo Region.
Born in Dunkwa –offin on December 10th in the late 70’s to a businessman Mr. Michael Boadi and Miss Josephine Boamah, Deputy Chief Technical Assistant of Land Valuation Board.
He was educated at the Dunkwa Goldfields International school from 1985-94, later he went to Boa Amponsem sec School where he studied Agric.
Kweku wrote his ‘O’level and ‘A’ level in 97 and 98 respectively and was the senior school prefect and Ghamsu presidents during their time in school.He undertook further studies in marketing at Sunyani polytechnic between 99/2000 -2002.
Kweku Danso Boadi undertook a two year course in management consultancy with chartered institute of Administration and Management Consultancy-legon and International professional managers Association in London UK for his post graduate certificate and postgraduate diploma in management.
In the year 2000 and 2001 Papa Glover as friends’ call him worked with Time Network advertising and Ad style advertising as Client Service Executive respectively. He later joined Beacon Insurance Company as a Marketing Executive, After his national service with National Youth council and BANGO.
Mr. Danso Boadi took the mantle as marketing Executive at Space FM in 2003.He then became head of the marketing team and was promoted to the status of senior Marketing Manager.With his innovative and creative skills, he has so far successfully marketed the activities of Space FM.
This humble young Enterprising marketing manager of Global Media Partners, owners of Space FM, is also the Chief Executive Officer of Glover Ventures a renowned Supermarket in Sunyani . With his romantic voice he hosts the romantic show dubbed "LOVE BYTE" and "Space Ecstasy" on Tuesdays and Sundays respectively which has drawn listeners to the station.
Quiet and reserved, Danny Glover believes that, a good manager or presenter is the type of person who takes time to study the marketing environment of his target market and listeners, does a bit of research about the market and the programme to enable him capture the largest market share. That’s why before Danny goes on Air, he spends time doing research and cross checking facts on the latest entertainment News to avoid poor presentation and unprofessionalism. The 30 something year old marketing manager is also the managing Director of Adepa Media Consult. Danny Glover is married to Mrs. Sandra Adepa Danso-Boadi a customer service representative with Ontario energy savers in Canada with a nice baby girl, Maame Awo Danso-Boadi.
