It has been a standout year for Burna Boy who has won several awards and sold out venues across the globe. The icing on the cake for the ‘African Giant’, however, will be securing a spot on Barack Obama’s favorite songs for the year.
The former president of the United States has released his list of 35 favorite songs of 2019 and occupying the 6th position is ‘Anybody’ – the second song on the ‘African Giant’ album.
“From hip-hop to country to The Boss, here are my songs of the year. If you’re looking for something to keep you company on a long drive or help you turn up a workout, I hope there’s a track or two in here that does the trick,” a tweet from Mr. Obama, Tuesday, announcing his favorite songs read.
‘African Giant’ which is Burna Boy’s fourth album was released in July 2019. The highly rated 19 track album made it into the Best World Album category of the 62nd Grammy Awards.
