The much-anticipated 2019 BET Awards will be held on 24 June in Los Angeles, USA.

And as usual a lot of Ghanaians are hoping musicians from their motherland make a mark at the prestigious awards event.

Last year, Ghana's versatile 'street' rapper, Kwesi Arthur grabbed all the headlines when he was nominated for the BET Viewers Choice: Best International Act category after releasing the remix of his hit single, 'Grind Day'.

Even though, Kwesi Arthur didn't win the award, many of his fans were elated that Black Entertainment Television had recognized his input in the industry.

From 2018, new artistes like Kuami Eugene, Kidi and King Promise have all made positive strives in the Ghanaian entertainment industry and many music fans and critics are hoping any of these artistes makes it to the 2019 BET Awards.

Interestingly, on Tuesday, 30 April 2019, BET International official Twitter handle posted a picture of Kwesi Arthur's new EP banner in London, "Live From Nkrumah Krom Vol II: Home Run", with the caption, "We see you @KwesiArthur_ posted up in London".

This post got many people asking if Kwesi Arthur's hardwork will make him grab another nomination in the main Best International Act category in this year's BET Awards.

If he hopefully gets the nod, he will go down in history as the first Ghanaian artiste to be nominated in that category.
