Award-winning broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah has taken a swipe at the first gentleman of the land Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo after he called Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan on phone to ask him to rescind his decision of retiring from the national team.

Some few days ago, Black stars striker Asamoah Gyan issued a press release announcing his retirement from the national team over captaincy issues with coach Kwesi Appiah which raised concerns among some Ghanaians.

This made the President step in and solve the issue between Asamoah Gyan and coach Kwesi Appiah but Nana Aba Anamoah is of the view that the president's involvement in the Asamoah Gyan issue has no impact on the economy.

According to Nana Aba, since the president has been able to intervene and make Asamoah Gyan rescind his decision, he should also step in for the young men and women who have no idea where their next meal will come from.

Taking to her Twitter handle, she posted; “We appreciate the President’s intervention but can he intervene for the many young men and women who have no idea where their next meal will come from? Can the president intervene for homeless Ghanaians? Asamoah Gyan’s decision has no impact on economic growth.”
