Almost seven weeks after giving birth to Jayden Kobe, son of model/broadcaster/musician Caroline Sampson has stepped into the bigger leagues of his mum’s industry.
The cute-looking boy has cast for Leila Djan’s latest movie “Ties That Bind” currently on location at Shai Hills. As a sign of exhibiting the creativity of the genes he came from, Kobe, The Accra Mail is told, handled his role with cheeky ease, much to the admiration of the crew on set.
The Movie “Ties That Bind” is a story of three young women Adobea, Buki and Theresa bound together by a similar pain; the loss of a child. In a destined meeting in a small village in Kroboland, the women journey together to redemption, love, life and forgiveness as they renovate a dilapidated clinic for the villagers.
It stars Ama K. Abebrese, Hollywood superstar Nia Long, Nollywood’s Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, John Dumelo, David Dontoh, Fred Amugi, Prince David Osei and Ziggy Netterson among a host of pretty new faces.
The movie is the director’s third major effort in Ghana in recent times after “I sing of a Well” and “Sinking Sands”. It is executively-produced by Turning Point Pictures and would tentatively make its first theatre appearance in August, 2011.
