Carpenter commits suicide for losing girl friend

Nsawam, March 20, GNA- A 27 year-old carpenter, Addo Kussi was on Wednesday found hanging at his carpentry shop, near the Government Hospital at Nsawam, in the Eastern Region.

Briefing the Ghana News Agency at Nsawam, Chief Inspector Harrison Katso of the Nsawam Police Station, said the body of Kussi had been deposited at the hospital for autopsy.

According to Chief Inspector Katso, the deceased was in love with one Maa Abenaa who visited him often at his residence at Ahodwo near Nsawam.

He said Kussi may have committed suicide since for the past two months, his lover had failed to visit him. Chief Inspector Katso said the police are still investigating the incident. 20 March 09
