The movie, Cartel: The Genesis featuring Joselyn Dumas and Adjetey Anang, is set to premiere at the National Theatre at 7pm today - Friday June, 26 and tomorrow the 27th.
The movie according to its producers explores the idea of a growing narcotics underground operations in the West African country, Ghana
The storyline revolves around a Narcotics Investigative Unit (NIU) agent, Adjetey Anang who was trained by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) of the United States.
Anang who comes particularly motivated to clamp down narcotic trade because he lost brother through such activities, is faced with one of the most puzzling covert operations upon his return to Ghana.
Speaking on Morning Starr with Kafui Dey on Friday, Joselyn Dumas told listeners Cartel: The Genesis is “well-researched” and has storyline that every Ghanaian who pays attention to the happenings in the Country and the West African sub region as a whole can relate to.
