He started rapping when he was in J.S.S and his parents were very influential in this part ? giving him money for his demos and the needed advice to this young chap.

Have you wondered why he is called Castro? Well Ghanamusic.com was able to ask him this question in an interview. He said because he wanted his name to go far and be like scars on bodies, so he took the Cuban President?s (Fidel Castro) surname.  He said ?if I take Fidel Castro?s name, it can boost my style?. He is not a shy guy, so all lovers and admirers can approach him with ease. One of his successful shows that he will always recall is the Terry Bonchaka Nite at Kumasi.

He makes his debut with eight tracks on the album called Damages. Four songs are hot hiplife songs, three highlife songs and one a slow paced track on the album. He has been enjoying tremendous airplay and currently or still in Joy FM?s chart show. Castro sings and raps in Twi, Fanti and Ga.

Sradenam opens the album and perhaps the best on Damages has already established itself in the hearts of music fans. Have you ever watched the video clip? The jama beat was perfect for the  singing.

Ewo Tima, the second track talks of how Castro describes his lady as a woman of good character and always pleases him.

Next is the Ga song, Anihaw. Which basically talks about woman and married women who are lazy? The lyrics were perfect for this track. He brings his wife into his marital home and all she does is sleep, does not wash and cook.

Adua Ba Ben another track that features his close pal, Taliban. It is a song that describes his lover as a something that never gets finished or a love that doesn?t get finished or decays. In this particular song, Castro raps in twi and Ga.

Maayeyei talks about how he hustles in life and that now that he is rich, people are now flocking to him like they know him.

Dadesein, a Jama song again features Taliban. It simply means people who misbehave or look for trouble will have to solve their own problems.

Damage, talks about the hardships you face before coming out as a musician. Also to those who hate you and don?t want you to come out as a successful star.

Magyei Enje ends the album. He Castro could not believe that his wife could leave him upon all the good things he has bestowed upon her. He featured people like Taliban, Triple M, 4 x 4 and Powder on the Damage album.

Castro has been lucky to featured or contributed to some tracks of his fellow musician which have also been hits like his. Some are Sikilitele (4 x 4), Koti (Triple M), Sokode (Asaase Aban), Driver (Margashoto and Boatemang) and the unreleased new Buk Bak Owu Gen Mon (Buk Bak).

He sees his album flourishing well in terms of airplay and sales. JQ was very instrumental in the handling of his beats. The album was recorded at the Hush Hush Studios and produced by Frimprince Music Production. Daniel Shankson Blankson manages Castro. He has a message for the youth which says "To the youth out there who want to join the hiplife train, it is not easy as they may see it but they should try hard and not listen to all the negative sayings".

Castro says ?we should expect different style and flow in his next new album. It will be more than Damage and will feature hiplifers like kingpins Buk Bak, Agya Bomofo, Asaase Aban and 4 x 4, simple put the expectancy should be high?.
