Catwalk For Peace In September

As election 2004 approaches and political parties get really busy campaigning for their presidential and parliamentary candidates, Onukpa Entertainment promotions, a special events company is coming out with a special designed event dubbed Ghana For Peace CAT Walk 2004 to educate the general public to vote peacefully.

Speaking to news men at a reception held at their office in Accra, the CEO of Onukpa Entertainment Promotions, Mr Craig Henry Yawson said ?we are organising this event not only to entertain ourselves but also to remind the political parties to desist from provocative and insulting words in their campaign messages.

?This is because the only way we can sustain democracy is by voting peacefully and the only way we can vote peacefully is the way political parties comport themselves during the campaign period,? he added.Ghana For Peace CAT Walk 2004 Mr Criag Yawson said, will have a renowed fashion designer to showcase to Ghanaians and other countries what Ghanaian designers are capable of doing with hot models cat-walking the stage like never seen before.

He however declined to mention names of artistes who will feature on this 1st ever event but said patrons should expect renowned highlife and hiplife as well as gospel artistes and comedians of international repute, drama and cultural displays.

When quizzed about the venue, he said it will either be the El-wak Stadium or the Kaneshie Sports Complex from 10am to 8pm on September 4, 2004.
