Hello and welcome to a Piece of Peace, your weekly dose of motivation and inspiration.
This week I would like to share with you on the topic, "Thank You to all my Faithbuilders".
A few days ago I received a big acknowledgement for my work and I must admit it felt really good. It has been quite a challenging couple of years for me especially when I look back at how far I have come out of my comfort zone.
Being an introvert, I had spent years avoiding the "my space" and "hi five" craze and only officially opened a facebook account just under 2 and a half years ago.
I would like to extend a big gratitude to all my wonderful "Faithbuilders" who have always found a special way of providing me with the words of encouragement and positivity, every time I felt down and wanted to give up.
It has been amazing reading all your comments and even though sometimes the negative comments from others slipped through the maze of positivity, you always ensured it was but a fleeting moment. God richly bless each and everyone of you that continues to read A Piece of Peace each week and I hope we make it to the end together.
One thing that I find interesting about this whole journey is that, I never expected in a million years that I would be doing what I am doing today. People always send me lots of emails and I endeavour to reply every single one of them even though I miss a fair amount but for the most part, the main question I am always asked is, "did you know when you came to Ghana, that you would be doing what you are doing now?" And the answer Faithbuilders is no.
I had spent years building a career in an industry that I knew and understand and at the level that I was, the easiest thing to do was to stay exactly where I was, receive even more promotions linked to a bigger pay cheque and retire.
The most difficult thing I have ever had to do was to leave the comfort of a secured job and start all over again from the ground up in a completely new industry. There was no way of knowing how things were going to turn out but I had faith that no matter what, God was in control.
I want to encourage all my faith builders today, the same way you have encouraged me on this journey to never give up. I say this all the time but it is so important. You owe it to your dreams to continue fighting for what you believe. You will have countless times and it will not always be fun.
You may even be broke but in everything that you do, work diligently and hard, don't take short cuts and never let anyone convince you that you are anything less than the great person God has destined for you to be.
Thank you once again for all your kind words and support, I love you all.
