Challenge Season 4 Cruises to the Grand Finale as 4 via for top Prize

They started as 12 bold, confident, intelligent and ready to battle for Ghana’s biggest prize on TV. Over the past 13 weeks, they have showcased the brilliance of the Ghanaian university graduate on the Challenge educational reality series which climaxes this Friday, December 14, 2012 at the College of Physicians and Surgeons Hall at Ridge in Accra.

The series, which is an initiative of the British Council with sponsorship from Tigo and produced by Gh-One entertainment TV, aims at rewarding bright and ambitious Ghanaian university graduate with a once in a lifetime opportunity to pursue a post graduate scholarship at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland.

The four finalists who will be battling it out for the top prize on Friday include: 25 year-old graduate of the KNUST Prince Anyetei Adjei, 25 year-old graduate of the University of Ghana Desmond Papa Kwesi Hackman, Samaad Yussif a 23 year old graduate also of the University of Ghana and 25 year old Sharon Rose Lithur, graduate of the Central University College.

The finalists were carefully selected by the Challenge Board comprising Albert Ocran of Legacy and Legacy,Dr. Audrey Gadzekpo and Prof. Robert Hinson, both of the University of Ghana and financial analyst and consultant, Abena Amoah after the nearly three months long competition.

Over those three months the board had the arduous task of evaluating weekly performances of the contestants ensuring that the right candidates made it to the final. 8 others were fired along the way by the board from the various tasks which included sales, charity, film, creativity, a smart brains quiz and a lot more.

The final task; which was the decider for who made it to the grand finale, was the great debate where the then 6 semi-final challengers posed as aspiring presidential candidates and had their own version of a presidential debate session. Topics that were fiercely debated included issues on health, employment with emphasis on youth employment, arts, culture and tourism as well as education.

Two well respected candidates, Afua and Selase got the kick after this session after they failed to impress the Board.

The four finalists are fervently preparing for the grand finale which promises to be a nail-biting experience for the contestants and present a whole lot of excitement to all who will make it to the venue.

In attendance will be ace saxophonist Steve Baidoo, the beautiful songstress Bertha, now known as YaaYaa and Heroes dance crew, winners of this year’s edition of the Malta Guinness Street dance competition.

Fans and supporters of the four finalists are invited to join their favourite challenger at the College of Physicians and Surgeons Hall in Accra, this Friday, 14th December at 7 PM sharp.
