Thursday, 24 May 2007 Report reaching the Ghanaian Voice newspaper indicates that the seasoned diplomat, Dr. Ibn Chambas, has been tipped to be the Vice president of Atta Mills. News is circulating that the NDC leaders have been holding marathon meetings with him to resign from his post as the Executive Secretary of ECOWAS to stand as vice president for the party's torchbearer.

Now the public is asking, Mahama and Chambas, who is going to stand behind Mills? Information emanating from within the caucus of the NPP has it that when their Intelligence team got wind of the information, they started to re-strategize to meet the heavy blow that is about to hit them. However, when this paper caught up with an executive member of the NDC to ascertain the truth or otherwise of the story, he refused to comment.

It would be recalled that Dr. Ibn Chambas was the former NDC MP for Bimbila who resigned his post when he was appointed to the post of the Executive secretary of ECOWAS in 2002.
