Charlotte, The Gospel Princess Launched Debut CD

Thu, 3 Jan 2008 Source: mr. cnn

About few years ago, this writer was invited to an all night service by

Holy Fire Dynanic Word International, Bronx, NY. Among the Praise and

Worship team leading the service was a petite lady called Charlotte Forkuoh.

Her voice was so powerful that everyone was impressed at the service. After

the service, the writer commended Charlotte for such a gift and encouraged

her to take her music talent to another level. Charlotte has indeed

followed the advice, worked on her 10-track debut album; "ONYAME MABA" and

finally launched it. The launching took place under the distingushed

chairmanship of Rev. Bishop Akwasi Agyeman Prempeh. When Charlotte was

introduced, she sung the second track of her album; "Wodi Masem" which sent

chills to many present and became emotional as tears were flowing. After

the launching; the writer impressed with her matured voice immediately

coined her the nickname; The Gospel Princess and decided

to add her to the list of current and upcoming artistes under his A&R

management (Steve Kelly, Akwadaa, Kwaku Nsonoma, Owudinii, Kwesoul, Nana

Bediako, Aretha Grant, Vivian Ofori to name a few).

Charlotte "The Gospel Princess" started singing as a little girl and

throughout her life she had been dreaming about becoming a gospel musician.

She uttered; "As matter of fact Jehovah has let it come to pass". Raised by

her father and came to the USA at the age of 16 years. She has completed

Manhattan Community H/S and currently in college pursuing Nursing.

Charlotte's debut album was produced by Ms Juliana Wiafe (Asew) and consists

of the following titles; "Onyame maba, "Wo di masem, Wo Asem No,

Nyame YE, Nyame Biara Nte Se Wo, David Nyame, MAKA MASEM, MEDO AWURADE, I

WILL PRAISE YOU.

The inspiration behind some of her titles on the album are:

TRACK 2 - "WO DI MASEM"

According to Charlotte, track 2 came about the pains she suffered growing up

and thought all hope was lost. But Jehovah came to her rescue and she

immediately started singing the song. Suddenly in a haste, went to the

studio and recorded it. This song is a reminisce of the inspirational and

chart topping hit; "Awurade Kasa" her magnificent voice send shivers to

listeners spine. Anyone who listens to this song cry with emotions. It is

a song to play when in pain, sorrow or need to be closer to the almighty to

hear a humble cry.

TRACK 6 - "David Nyame"-

She said, she was in the kitchen cooking when she heard a voice; "He is the

light of the world, I wrote it down, the holy spirit helped me arrange it

and recorded it too". The song is backed by a R&B sound. Check out the

chorus; "Ah oh me Nyame, Nyame, wonti na ma ba ooh" - Oh my Lord it is

because of you that I have come.

TRACK 8 - "WONE NYAME"

According Charlotte, "I know there is nothing that God can never do I came

up with this track bacause if God does something for you, you have to praise

him" The song is a mixture of R&B, Jazz and Reggae to suit all listeners;

The chorus here" Mepe se me kase Onyame, wo yee ah" - I want to say God you

are so Good.

Copies of the CD have already been delivered to the studios of Oman FM and

Happy FM for airplay, many studios would also be getting copies very soon.

Charlotte has become a symbol that God has a gift of talent for everyone and

size does not matter. All one has to do is to have the faith/belief and ask

him to reveal it, it shall surely and ALWAYS be done. "For with God nothing

will be impossible." - Luke 1:37 and Matthew 6:33, "But seek ye first the

kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added

unto you."

Readers are encouraged by this writer to use the power of the tongue to

always say the good word for it to come true; "Confess it and possess it",

"name it and claim it", "blab it and grab it" "speak it into existence". (ht
