Highlife musician Kwabena Kwabena believes CharterHouse Ghana Limited have been vindictive towards Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale.
The decision of the Ghana Music Awards organizers not to nominate the ‘Kakai’ hitmaker was a show of power, says the ‘Aso’ performer.
“… they felt that this is the time he had done a lot of songs which were popular and really would need this award so they had to do this to get at him. They have been very vindictive.” He told Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) during a post-event discussions about the awards scheme on #360Live on Live FM.
He added: “I will not even blink by saying they’ve been vindictive to Shatta Wale. They have been. It is haunting Charterhouse because he is an artiste and will forever be producing music every day and if his music hits and you don’t nominate him … *laughs* this is a popular awards…”
